However, a current and notable barrier to access healthcare resources for individuals is drug costs, with 22% of total Canadian prescription drug costs being paid out of pocket by patients (1,2). In response, the Government of Ontario plans to implement Ontario Health Insurance Plan Plus (OHIP+) effective January 1, 2018 as a means of alleviating this financial barrier for a portion of population that meet certain criteria. As with anything in mainstream society, it is hard to reach a consensus on a subject, so you must turn to scientific research to reach a valid conclusion. Societies in today’s world encompasses millions to hundreds of millions of people, who all have differing opinions, which leaves room for misinterpretations and misconceptions. There are many misconceptions in the gaming community, many of which are low hanging fruit that exist in every topic, so I’m going to try and only talk about the more recent or most damaging ones, if taken as truth. The principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights relates to the Saint Leo Universities core value of community in a number of ways. Article two states that Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty. Article eighteen states Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance. No matter what religion you worship, Saint Leo’s only intentions are to continue to provide the Christian learning community. Not all religious courses taught at Saint Leo are geared toward one community. Article nineteen states Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. I am currently enrolled in religious 123 â€Å"Intro to the Old Testament† and I am not a Christian but the course and the instructor allow me to voice my opinion freely regardless of what religion group the instructor is a part of they don’t criticize my way of thinking or they don’t push the issue to convert me to their Christianity. The second part of article twenty-six which states Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace reverts back to the previous statement I was saying about the instructors not trying to convince you to see it their way and their way only.
